Deputy Chief of Information Dominance and Deputy CIO, U.S. Air Force

Deputy Chief of Information Dominance and Deputy CIO, U.S. Air Force

Marion is part of the team at the Air Force responsible for leading the service’s massive digital transformation and adopting an Enterprise-IT-as-a-Service model for network and tech services. In his role, he supports 54,000 personnel globally with a $17 billion IT portfolio. Outside of mission execution, Marion calls recruiting and retaining a talented workforce his most important job. “Without focus on the future workforce, mission execution is short-lived,” he said. “Leaders must not only build the current force, but they must set every stage for the future force. This also requires that we adapt our bureaucracy to meet the generational needs, not just the ones of today.”
