Sartin Knows exactly how important it is for the federal government to attract and retain smart IT talent. “In all seriousness, our democracy depends on it,” she told FedScoop. “The space between ‘business’ and ‘tech’ that once existed is quickly shrinking. Every government program is powered by technology.” So where should the government look for this talent? “Not all leaders come from the same path,” Sartin said. “Make sure to look outside of the traditional structures and to find people with new perspectives to help challenge your team to move forward.”
