Federal CISO & Sr. Director, National Security Council, Executive Office of the President

Schneider wears two distinct hats at the White House — one as Federal CISO at the Office of Management and Budget, the other as the NSC’s top cybersecurity official — giving him a unique vantage over the government’s IT workforce. “We are always looking to help our staff increase their skills and ensure they have career advancement opportunities,” whether it’s in their current shop or elsewhere, he says. A motivated, diverse team is critical for success, he says. Collaboration matters, too. “A successful team does not need to agree with each other on all issues, however they need to be able to disagree in a professional manner,” Schneider says.
